According to the statistics of South Korea, it had 4549 direct investment projects in China in 2007, with the investment amount reaching USD5.23b, up by 56.27 percent year-on-year and accounting for 25.7 percent of its direct investment overseas. China remained South Korea’s largest investment destination. Though enterprises’ costs increased due to the policy adjustment of China, which led to operation difficulties of some South Korea enterprises, the investment from South Korean manufacturing industry in China was still robust, totaling USD3.65b. Shandong Province absorbed USD1.184b investment from South Korea in 2007, USD391m less than that of Jiangsu Province, and second to Jiangsu for two straight years
